Walking naked in petaled pastels
The veil between sunrise and sunset
Envelops my body in brush-stroked colors
Wrapping, spinning from dawn to dusk
Such a youthful figure in the shadows of noon
I feel my skin so soft and supple
The breeze spins and eddies
And teases my hair with puerile joy
But I look away
And hug my breast
And gaze toward the darkness
I lean toward the light
I feel the cold evening
Trace my spine
With blue fingers
Wrap itself around my soul
Draping darkness over my shoulder
I turn toward the sunset
With its venerable beauty
Tenebrous shades of azure and rose
Shadow green meadows of memories and dreams
Mixing and blending light with dark
Youth with age
The summer warmth is pushed away
By the overpowering colors of autumn
Of winter
Of dark
Change is the only constant
But I am part of the earth
I am part of the heavens
And I am an ethereal garden
